Still In Manila....

I got to admit that this is the first time in years that within the span of Holy Week, I'm still in Manila with my family and not in some island or something snoring in a hotel room and spending the day around some island with my ever-fave mango shake around the sands. Instead, I'm still in Manila and I still have work until Wednesday (Oh, take the note that this is the first time around this season that I already have a long-term kind of job). And I'm happy about it. College life, really is different.

Apparently, this Lent..

- have no sure plans yet if we'll go to Puerto Gallera or Laguna or Baler within the week (mum and dad are still arguing over their wits where we'd go)
-Fasting is A MUST this season so apparently i'm living up on - no rice, siomai pancit canton meals, trail mix nutribars, oatmeal, yoghurt, fresh fruit slices and skyflakes meals and pure water (yeah, it sounds like cleansing diet!)
- my work in Makati is still up till Wednesday
- just at home finishing some things but would stop practice by Thursday and resume only on Sunday (Easter, ofcourse)
- no drinking (yes, no alcohol) and no Starbucks or sticks within the weeks (yes, it's just once a year and I know i can do this!)
- Be good
- Repent
- stay with my family (as much as possible, in the week of Lent itself, I don't go out anywhere with friends, yes that would mean no partying, no coffee meetings whatsoever and the likes
- won't use internet till Easter Sunday and would only use phone on important matters and would only watch Lenten Specials on tv for a few hours
- would reflect on the things that has happened in the past weeks, months and year and would prolly learn something good or great from this whole Manila-Lent-at-Home-With-Family-Only
- would reflect on the good and bad things that has happened in the past couple of months and try to be grateful for everything that has happened (may it be good or bad)
- would quite savor the moment that I'm away from everything and everyone and that I'm just with my family, at home. =)

It's such a different experience this season of Lent. At home, with family, in Manila - hasn't happened in years. =)
